1. Brainstrom with associates and stakeholders to find out what are the most pressing problems that are in the news.

2. Slice them into bits and explore existing approaches for solutions.

3. Engage competent people to work further into these areas.

4. Incentivize new people who may have fresh ideas or improvements to proposed solutions.

5. Take stock of the situation, progress, difficulties, change needed and repeat with the updated plan.

Ram, you present concrete steps to take, very practical. I particularly appreciate doing follow-up. Too often headliner story writers run off to the next headline, rather than checking back on what was done to address previous issues and how successfully.
One suggestion would be to work on stories which address problems your identified audience is concerned with, not necessarily just what makes headlines in the broader market.

Ram, the steps you outlined make sense and are clear. I think a two or three person team to work a story and perhaps run a pilot, would make it easier for newspapers to embrace SJ, getting people on board, and ramping faster.
