I like what Swati talked about in trying to get a reporter (or in my case, students) over their initial hesitations about Solutions Journalism is to think in terms of responses. I think what intimidates students about this approach is they get stuck trying to find "THE Solution." No solution, no story. But as Swati suggested, look for responses and go from there. I also appreciated the story outline that was displayed during her interview. That looks like a great tool to help breakdown the elements of a Solutions Journalism story.
Well said. Focusing on only "solution" can be discouraging. The "responses" can definitely move the needle.
