As a journalist working in the world of public relations and marketing, I don't have access to a newsroom. However, that won't stop me from producing my own solution journalism stories.
I'm planning to launch a series of podcasts talking about my experience as a volunteer in Guatemala and talking about the problems that this country faces. Now I feel I have more tools to be able to report on those problems and also include voices, characters, evidence and communities that are working to solve those problems and who are already looking for or implementing solutions to those problems they face.
And I think all colleagues here should do the same if the newsrooms they work for are not ready to introduce solutions journalism stories. Why don't we tell those stories independently in our own spaces?
