Although I am not currently working in a newsroom, this course did provide ideas for how to start a solutions practice eventually. I believe pointing towards the numerous examples of solutions journalism pieces can help building towards a robust colutions practice. IT also helps with knowing how to dinstinguish between what is solutions journalism and what isn't. This course also taught me how to get multiple perspectives in reporting instead of what aligns with the solution is.
I agree as I too am currently not working in a newsroom. What I like most about the many things I have learnt in this course, is that it's a simple enough framework that you could start with just one story. And you don't need to have detailed series in mind, you could just take this approach and apply it so one small solution to one aspect of a problem.
