leading even modest practice change in newsrooms can be difficult as in this day and age, journalism resources are scarce, staff are understaffed and the media landscape has changed drastically. Many revenue models have not kept up with these changes and solutions journalism may be seen as fluffy or PR as opposed to the if it bleeds it leads mentality of yesteryear. However, by recognising champions of SoJo , and implementing simple processes of identifying a solutions journalism story and implementing the 4 pillars, as a regular routine, it would be possible to make SoJo reporting the norm .
