Additionally, the reporter noted the gap in opinion within the data which helped the reader immediately understand the chart’s relevance. I think the histogram was extremely effective because it compared climate change to numerous other policy issues and showed the different percentages of support between the two parties. Overall, these data elements complemented the story and illustrated its key elements.
